The Teachings of Sathya Sai Baba: | Sathya Sai Baba has inspired millions all around the world to lead a spiritual life based on five human values of Truth, Right Conduct, Love, Peace and Non-violence. He himself is a prime example of how one should lead a life of simplicity and use our resources for the benefit of others. | He has commissioned many service projects for the poor and needy which offer free education, health care and drinking water to the remote areas in India. He often says that “My life is my message”. Sathya Sai Baba does not preach any new religion or philosophy. He says - - “I have come not to disturb or destroy any faith, but to confirm each in his own faith – so that Christian becomes a better Christian, the Muslim, a better Muslim, and the Hindu, a better Hindu. ”
- “I have come to light the lamp of love in your hearts, to see that it shines day by day with added luster.”
- “Love is God. God is love. Live in love. ”
- “All are expressions of the same God, as bulbs lit by the same current through manifold colours and wattage.”

CONVERSATIONS WITH SAI,Satyopanishad - Part 24 Prof. Anil Kumar: Swami! Renunciation, we feel, is the most difficult thing. We have so many attachments and it is not easy to give them up. Kindly suggest an alternative! Bhagavan: No, it is very easy. You are wrong if you say that detachment is difficult. In fact, it is simpler and easier to be detached than to be attached. Now, look here! I hold this handkerchief in my hand. I hold it tight in my grip. It is a strain holding it like that for a long time, i.e. holding the handkerchief in the grip. On the contrary, it is very easy to simply drop it. Is it not? So attachment is difficult while detachment is easy. February 20, 2010 – Chinese New Year in the Holy Hamlet The Chinese New Year (of the tiger) was celebrated in the hamlet of Highest Peace on February 20. Buddhist monks belonging to the lineage of the Tibetan high Lama who had arrived a few days earlier stayed back to bask in the Divine Presence. The drama "Unity is Divinity" was scheduled on the evening of that day. The veda chanting started as always at 8:00 a.m. and the Buddhist monks were seated in the marbled blocks, waiting for Swami. And shortly after 8:30 a.m., the beautiful orange frame of Swami glided into the Sai Kulwant Hall. February 19, 2010 – Buddhist Monks Chant in the Divine Presence It was a day so different from all the others. Swami always takes us by surprise and many a times it takes everyone's breath away. It was 7:30 a.m. when the music and Veda chanting resounded in Prasanthi Nilayam, and people hurried towards the scantily populated Sai Kulwant Hall. As Swami had not been coming for morning darshan for many weeks, not many used to gather in the morning, one can never take things for granted with Swami. February 16, 2010 – Shower of Blessings on All Everyone in Puttaparthi was disturbed when Swami did not come out for darshan at all the whole of the previous day. And so on Feb 16, the hall was full till it seemed bursting at its seams. They say that the true value of something is discovered when it is missed.Every heart in the Sai Kulwant Hall seemed to be beating for Him and praying. The Veda chanting began at 4:00 p.m. and c oncluded at 5:00 p.m. The bhajans then began and progressed for a while. Ah! The first signs of Swami's appearance and the energy levels in the hall seemed to soar! Becoming Auspicuousness,Sathya Sai Speaks Shivarathri is indeed a very auspicious day. It is the fourteenth day of the lunar fortnight, when the Moon is waning and the Sun is in the sign of Aquaries. The festival is, however, related to the Moon rather than the Sun. That is the reason why it is called Shivarathri (the night of Shiva). Unlike other nights, this particular night is the night of consecration, dedication and illumination. MUSINGS ON AWARENESS, Part-01 Man forgets God not only in dealing with his fellow human beings but also in dealing with Nature. Thus it is that we see wide-scale destruction and ravaging of the environment and the eco-system. THE SHORT STORY OF AFRISTAR AND THE HUMONGOUS SERVICE OF DR. NOAH SAMARA This special musing by Prof. G. Venkataraman is a follow up of his earlier article How Radio Sai is Still Alive wherein he revealed how Radio Sai continues to serve in spite of the collapse of Worldspace, thanks to the mysterious Master Plan of Sai. In the current article (which is an adaptation of his talk on Radio Sai), he shares the changed scenario for Afristar listeners who can now listen to Radio Sai only on the internet as well as offers his heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Noah Samara, the man with a heart of gold, who has loved and served God in an amazing way. HEART2HEART QUIZ ON DEVOTEES EXPERIENCES DURING SWAMI’S SEVERAL TRIPS IN INDIA What happened when a huge wave came rushing towards Swami, and everyone feared that the wave would carry Swami away? A. The Lord of the Sea suddenly became scared and was quiet B. Swami became Krishna and played the flute to tame the waves down C. Swami stood like a rock and let the waves pass D. The Lord of the Sea came to pay homage to Swami Mystery, Beauty and Serenity….A mesmerizing glance at Sai Shiva PHOTO GALLERY Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba in a landmark discourse in 1963 revealed to the wor ld that He is Shiva-Shakthi Swarupa, that is, the embodiment of Supreme Consciousness and Supreme Energy that pulsates in every atom of this creation. Every word and act, gesture and movement of the divine when He assumes a human frame is a mystery. Even more mind-boggling is His Silence. As they say, silence is truly ‘Sailens’ as stilling the mind and speech is the first step on the spiritual path. Once we learn to quiet the mind, we automatically turn inward. And this process becomes the easiest when the Avatar is living with us day in and day out. Here are a few glimpses of this magnificent Avatar which effortlessly transport us into a realm of inner calm, serenity, sublimity and beauty. 2009 Sri Sathya Sai Media Foundation
